Lack of discipline and alcohol prevented Mukasey from participating in the filming.

On January 1, the four-part film “Midshipmen, Forward!” turns 35 years old. Not many fans of the mini-series know that the role of Prince Olenev was supposed to go to the son of director Svetlana Druzhinina, but in the end it was played by Vladimir Shevelkov.

Anatoly Mukasey (Druzhinina’s son) was never able to take part in the filming due to his indiscipline, despite his mother’s desire to push his relative through. Actor Vladimir Shevelkov, in conversations with journalists, more than once noted that he felt out of place not only because of Svetlana Sergeevna’s unfulfilled hopes, but because of organizational issues.

For example, the artist did not like the soundtrack to the film. He also admitted that he directed some of the scenes himself.

As for Anatoly, according to people who knew him, he was a talented artist, but at some point he became addicted to alcohol and illegal drugs. There were rumors that it was for this reason that the director’s son was not hired for one of the main roles.
