Brands looks back at the handling of the incident, for which he still wants to thank Sevilla and Dmitrovic. “We immediately apologized to Dmitrovic and Sevilla in a letter last year. The goalkeeper acted very professionally by wanting to finish the match. We are very grateful to him for that. That could have been done differently and then the consequences were of the incident was probably much greater.”

Dylano K. was ultimately convicted and received a fine plus a stadium ban until 2063. “He has so far complied with the payment obligation for his fine.” Fortunately, UEFA also showed understanding for PSV. “The UEFA Security Delegate went through the entire process with us before the match.
