Dhaka, Oct 2 – The death toll from dengue fever in Bangladesh has surpassed 1,000 since the outbreak began earlier this year. It is the worst outbreak on record in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Health Service Agency The number of deaths from dengue fever, or in Thailand popularly called dengue fever, was published on Sunday night. It appears that 1,006 people have died, out of the number of confirmed dengue infected patients. 200,000 cases, a former senior executive of the Health Service Agency said today that This year’s death toll is higher than the number of deaths in each year since 2000 combined. There were 112 deaths among children under 15, including infants. This year’s record beats the previous high of 281 deaths set in 2022.
Scientists say This year’s outbreak of dengue fever comes from unusual rainfall and warmer than normal temperatures during the monsoon season. This makes it an ideal condition for the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes. which is a carrier of dengue fever.-Thai news agency
