Member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) Djan Faridz praised President Jokowi’s steps and breakthroughs in the construction of the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) Whoosh. Faridz supports if the project continues to Surabaya.
“The train is extraordinary. It needs to continue to Surabaya,” said Faridz in a written statement, Monday (2/10/2023).
Faridz considers Jokowi’s move to continue the fast train to Surabaya as a form of preparation for the nation’s future. For your information, the discussion on the Bandung-Surabaya fast train is currently being studied by the initiator and will be completed soon.
“I think what must be supported together is the President’s vision, he is preparing Indonesia for the future. This is a real form of effort to make Indonesia developed. After the initial study is complete, the government will carry out further studies. After the calculations are complete, I think mind set“It has to be suitable for this to work,” he said.
According to Faridz, Wantimpres will continue to support Jokowi to ensure these breakthrough steps. He supports Jokowi’s program for the welfare of society.
“The most important thing is of course that this has a significant impact on the welfare of society and the progress of the nation. We see that the President always has that enthusiasm,” he concluded.
Previously, Jokowi revealed the latest update regarding the Bandung-Surabaya fast train plan. He said discussions on the project would only be completed by the initiator.
“The fast train from Bandung to Surabaya, perhaps within 2 weeks, the initiator’s studies will be completed,” said Jokowi after testing KCJB Whoosh, at Padalarang Station, West Java, Monday (2/10/2023).
After the study is completed, said Jokowi, the government will carry out further studies. Only then will it be calculated further.
“Then we will continue with our own further studies. After that, new calculations will be decided. It has always been like that,” he said.
