The world’s leading messaging app will stop working on some smartphone and tablet models starting in the next few days. In total, 15 models from different brands will no longer receive updates from WhatsApp.
The information came from the application itself, which indicates the absence of new updates for devices that are still running the Android 4.1 operating system or an even older one.
It is common for applications like WhatsApp to stop receiving updates on older devices. If you have a newer device with a newer operating system, rest assured: it will continue to receive app updates for a long time. In August, 35 devices stopped receiving new updates and lost access to the world’s main messenger.
According to WhatsApp, users of the aforementioned devices should consider purchasing models with newer operating systems and, consequently, new features available.
