You can’t communicate like that, these are Bulgarian citizens, GERB leader Boyko Borisov said in Plovdiv about the energy workers’ protests. “I want to address the prime minister, the government and the miners again: Blocking is not a way out, it harasses many other citizens,” commented Borisov. He called for dialogue to calm tensions. “If I were prime minister, we wouldn’t have brought it here at all. Three years ago, we presented a plan with Tomislav Donchev, agreed with the European Commission and the trade unions, that everything would be done gradually. During that time, we fed the miners and the coal. Let’s not go back. Now the negotiations they were led by their colleagues. As you can see, they don’t invite us to a meeting. If someone advises them to communicate with an angry community like this, it is not right. They do not enjoy preventing other Bulgarian citizens from traveling and doing business. And as and I told the peepers not to enter Sofia, I would also address the miners and energy workers. Some of the things can be heard and done with good communication. You just need to calm down the conversation and arrogant behavior. Not all their actions are wrong , but the way of communication is extremely wrong. The fact that they pushed the companies there has made an impression on people. The fact that Asen Vasilev accepted 36 salaries for those who want to leave is good. It was just that the dialogue should have continued, not people are presented with a fait accompli,” added the GERB leader.
According to him, GERB’s partners should work on their non-coalition culture. “The government sends us some of their requests. Then my deputies start working on the projects, finally we pass a law and they come out and say: ‘This is ours.’ . We accept it as an act of people who accepted themselves as the greatest, the most knowledgeable and the most capable. But in the last three years, the Bulgarians increasingly drew their own conclusions. Who did what, what he is doing and what are his possibilities,” Borisov also said.
“They left us on Friday evening to defend the Energy Law, and they went to an election campaign. On a day when thousands are protesting, we are left alone in the parliament,” added the GERB leader. According to him, from the PP-DB they were obliged to be in the parliament at that moment.
“About the VAT law, I personally spoke with Asen Vassilev and said that we will not support it and it will not pass. Because there is no one to agree to this and from the other parties, let’s say, to surround us and do it. And not only for restaurateurs, but also for many other industries that suffered from the COVID hysteria. Now you see COVID coming again. Even here, meetings must be conducted with great tact and care. It should be explained how long, how”, Borisov was categorical. He called on PP-DB not to provoke them by introducing laws without consensus, because GERB will not support them.
Borisov also commented on the ideas for reforms in the services. “As for the services, we’re done, now we’ve got to them. There are several facts that are not true. Currently, the heads of these services are highly trusted by partners. I know this first hand. It is no coincidence that the head of DANS was awarded by his partner in the USA. This is the highest award. Even on them fell the entire burden of the removal of the Russian clergy from the Russian Church. To talk so angro that the services are full of Russian spies. To expose them and bring them to court as soon as they know of such. This is national treason. They will spend many years in prison. The heads of the services have not given reasons for their actions to be changed. Let them imagine the laws. we will look at them, but they will be talked about after the election. I am categorically against an MP from one party becoming a chief of service. Because we have had such cases in history. It is not right. These directors were appointed during the administration of President Radev, Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev. They worked with them. There is not a single person there who has smiled at our picture. Everything is planned,” added Borisov.
The leader of GERB inspected the stadium of “Lokomotiv” Pd, on which there is still work. “After Botev’s stadium, Lokomotiv now also look with optimism to the future. Their team is first. As I have always said, I have no unfulfilled promise. Whoever the owner is, they know that their hope is in us. In my opinion that’s why people expect this policy of building infrastructure to continue. We have promised that the parking lot will be built in front as well. It will turn out to be a wonderful complex,” said Boyko Borisov.
