“Deputy from DPS Delyan Peevski should not be underestimated in terms of qualities. He has a vision of what the political process is, he knows the tools and some of them are visibly mastered. He is alien to the infantilism that reigns recently in the political process. Today his signature stands next to this of Kiril Petkov and Hristo Ivanov”.
This was stated on Sunday by the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the SU Prof. Daniel Valchev to NOVA.
The former Minister of Education simply stated the obvious, far from being moved by his conclusions. And it is shocking and incredible for many, for whom the slightly more superficial, let’s say “aesthetic” motives are the leading ones.
That Delyan Peevski is not a fool at all, let alone at all, has been obvious for a long time. He may have a storehouse of repulsive qualities and mannerisms, but the last thing he can be accused of is stupidity.
“But why do the journalists give him the word. This is how they wash his name?!”, the surprised characters from social networks shout.
Well, it may come out that way, but they have no choice. Until recently, Peevski could not be discovered by the media, except when he himself decided to make a statement in one of his own. Today, around three roosters are already on the air every morning, surrounded by early-rising reporters. They cannot pass him, regardless of the accusations that they wash, stretch and iron his name.
Today’s 18-year-olds, who will vote for the first time, were 10 when Peevski was the personification of evil along with KTB, DANS, the sagas with “Eurofootball”, “Bulgartabak”, Lafka and what not. He is what they see him showing now – a sensible, level-headed and gentle uncle who behaves positively and “constructively”. In general – a positive character.
At this level of parliamentarians and other politicians surrounding him – quite sufficient and correct behavior. No need to strain anymore. The steam jet works for him. No one suffers from the silence of the always saying nothing, but the talkative Karadai.
Peevski and Borisov today are like Aristotle and Socrates against the background of the table of our handy politicians, which is by no means good news, but it is an indisputable fact.
It has long been clear that we are living in a farce, but everything has an explanation. They are players, it cannot be denied. We know what happened to Tsvetan Vasilev and Vasil Bozhkov. Whoever wants, let him console himself with “Magnitsky”.
