Comedian, entertainer, impersonator and presenter Zdeněk Izer is an inherent part of the entertainment industry. He has been entertaining listeners all over the country for over thirty years. He is also a regular guest on Slovak broadcasts.
His Czech Police Academy was one of the most popular cycles in the nineties. Later, he appeared regularly in New Year’s Eve broadcasts, presenting Telebazar or Pípšoubazar on Prima. He lent his face to a number of companies for advertising purposes and voice for a change to the computer game Polda.
But where he gained a dominant position is jokes.
Izer likes to tell about miners, hunters, policemen, blondes. He does not resist profanity either. In one case, which was brought to our attention by a reader, but according to the rules of the Facebook community, Facebook shot back.
Zdenek Izer’s New Year’s joke:
The husband and wife lie in bed together and the woman starts to make “aaaah”, “aaaah” in her sleep. And the husband: “Maruno!” And she. “Jesus Christ! Karl, I had such a beautiful dream. I was at the pindík exhibition. Look, everyone you can imagine. Small, big, black, just all of them!” And he: “Was mine there too?” “Of course, it was in the middle, on such a pedestal, the highest above them. That was such a beautiful dream.’
And in a week, the guy goes “ahh”, “ahh” from sleep. And she: “Karl!” And he. “Jesus. It’s a shame, it was a dream. Pipes, exhibition. You can imagine: shaved, unshaven, small, large, Asian, all of them.” “Was mine there?” “It happened that year!”
“I uploaded the video from the archive footage several times. Izer tells a joke about how a master sells a dog – a sex maniac. I had a lot of fun with it, but every time the video was stopped saying that it violates the community rules,” pointed out Libor Máchovský. “I have met Mr. Izer several times in person, I used to transcribe his jokes from TV on my blog, before social networks overwhelmed me, that’s what I wanted to write to you,” he noted.
The editors went to Facebook. A number of recordings with Zdenek Izer can be seen here. However, we did not find the mentioned joke about the sale of Pišta’s dog. However, we managed to discover it on the YouTube platform, where videos are removed less frequently.
It is a fifteen-year-old recording of the program Nobody is Perfect. Over 160,000 users have seen this particular joke so far.
The listeners don’t mind
The editors were surprised by the aforementioned censorship. We therefore approached several organizers of cultural events who regularly invite Zdenek Izer.
Have you ever had people complain about an entertainer’s harsh humor?
“Zdeňko Izer’s shows are quite popular here, there are no problems with their sales. The shows are attended by those who don’t mind Mr. Izer’s sometimes quite harsh humor. We do not register any complaints,” Miroslav Franc, executive director of the Hradec Cultural and Educational Society, told the editors. The Izer at the confluence of the Elbe and Orlice often appears in the local Adalbertin.
Izer performs a Romani dialogue:
Old Mr. Ferenc gives away his property to his grandchildren. And he says to the oldest: “Here’s your grandfather’s water bottle.” Fifteen centimeter forged blade. Ivory inlaid handle. You’ve got it, grandpa,” he sighs.
And in a week.
“So what’s the cane?” And the grandson: “Grandpa, I changed it.” “For what, dear?! “For Rolex. Nobody has that!” “You moron. Now you go to the pub and someone says you’re some kind of moron, man, so what are you going to do to them? A quarter to three, man, or what?!’
Magician Pavel Kožíšek expressed himself in the same way for his theater. Zdeněk Izer regularly goes to the Magic Theater in Líbeznice. “No, it didn’t happen to us. Audiences who go to his shows know. And they like his specific humor,” he said.
Jiří Havel from the representative agency AURA-PONT s.r.o. did not respond to questions. Zdeněk Izer did not want to comment either.
