Vacheron Constantin Joins Forces with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New Partnership

The oldest luxury watch manufacturer is joining forces with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in a partnership announced at the end of September.

This rapprochement between Vacheron Constantin and the Met appears in a context of rapprochement between major brands and cultural institutions. Behind this summit collaboration, the Swiss company intends to work on artistic transmission and continue its actions in terms of creative mentoring. The watchmaker supports programs such as the tutoring of young musicians at Abbey Road Studios or the training of young talents from the New York City Ballet by master Chan Chun Wai.

Educational programs linked to the actions carried out by the Met should therefore soon be put in place with the support of Vacheron Constantin. A series of retrospectives of the watch manufacturer’s creations (founded in 1755!) should also see the light of day in the coming months, as will artistic residencies in the heart of the museum located in Central Park.

Vacheron Constantin has been working with the United States for almost two centuries, where the house’s watches began to be marketed in 1832. It was already in New York that the company had taken up residence. Since then, the company has been one of the most sought-after watchmakers in the American luxury market.
