Roma –
Maurizio Sarri denounce UEFA, FIFAand A league which makes the schedule unreasonable for Lazio. As a result, Lazio slumped at the start of this season.
Lazio slumped at the start of this season. They are currently ranked 14th. The Capital Eagles were only able to collect seven points from seven matches.
A situation that is completely opposite to what they showed last season. Lazio was able to finish in second place behind Napoli who won the Scudetto.
Lazio coach, Mauricio Sarri, believes that his team has fallen because of the schedule they have to go through this season. This man from Italy criticized UEFA, FIFA and Serie A, which he said made an inhumane schedule.
Lazio itself played six matches throughout September. They played their last three matches in just six days.
Appearing in the Champions League this season seems to be a burden for the Biancocelesti. Bearing in mind, they don’t have good enough squad depth.
“We have to make changes because the match schedule doesn’t make sense. I am very angry with UEFA, FIFA, Serie A and everyone for coming together to make this crazy calendar,” said Sarri, quoted by Football Italia.
“They sent these kids to slaughter without anyone’s interference. This is football now, take the money and do it. Only, all that money can’t go to Serie C, where you can’t make a living as a professional player. All money in football is disbursed to 40 or 50 players,” he explained.
