CASABLANCA- The dream of joining the group stages of the Champions League ended for Hafia FC this Saturday, September 30. In favor of the return match of the 2nd preliminary round, after the 1-1 draw in Conakry, the Green and White club lost heavily 3-0 to Wydad of Casablanca at the Mohamed V stadium in Morocco.
In this match, Hafia sank and even finished the match at 10 against 11 after the expulsion of its young striker Alhassane Camara, who entered the game in the second half. Result, the club of President Kerfalla Camara KPC which dreamed of going far, comes out of this African campaign, quite the opposite for SOAR Académie.
After their defeat (2-1) in the first leg in Conakry, the academicians created the feat by winning in Ivory Coast (2-0) in front of AFAD, this Saturday, during the return match of the CIF cut. And for the first time in its history, SOAR Académie, created less than 10 years ago, qualifies for the group stage of the CAF Cup. A hell of a performance after the eliminations of Horoya AC and therefore Hafia. SOAR is now the only Guinean club entered in the CAF interclub cup this season.
