Last Monday, the Department of Health began the vaccination campaign against respiratory synthymal virus—which causes bronchiolitis– to all newborns this week, as well as premature babies and those under 2 years old at high risk (with heart disease, or bronchopulmonary dysplasia). In the health area they have already been immunized more than a hundred children, of which four received the dose at the Barbanza hospital.
Precisely, all children born since April (in Boiro, A Pobra, Ribeira and Porto do Son) must go to the Ribeira health center to receive the corresponding dose, while those from the rest of the municipalities in the region will be summoned to the Clinic. .
Flu-covid campaign
The first phase of the double covid-flu vaccination campaign ended this morning in the region, since the 320 residents of the Ribeira, A Pobra and Noia senior centers, as well as the inmates of the Fogar Amicos de Comoxo (Boiro), where a total of 37 people received the double puncture. It is expected that within a week the two doses will begin to be inoculated to those over 80 years of age.
