Youssef Mansour Opens Up About Illness, Absence from Acting, and Surprises in Interview with Iman Abu Talib

The artist Youssef Mansour was a guest on the “Balkhat Al-Arid” program, presented by the journalist Iman Abu Talib, on the “Al-Hayat” channel network.

During his talk, Mansour touched on his illness, his absence from acting, and his relationship with the artistic community, in addition to his work in the field of directing for a period. He also revealed many surprises.

Youssef Mansour made a surprise about the late artist Suzan Tamim, saying that she was the real heroine of his movie “Badr” in 2001, but she apologized for work and traveled until Engy Abdullah, Miss Egypt at the time, was chosen to star in the movie.

The artist Youssef Mansour also spoke about his absence from acting, his injury and suffering for years with cancer, his work in the field of directing to present action scenes in a way different from what was presented at the time, and his learning of directing through a number of artistic experiences, and that he practiced the profession and did not study it.

Youssef Mansour is an Egyptian actor and Kung Fu champion. He was born in Cairo in 1966. He immigrated to the United States of America with his family when he was nine years old. He decided to study psychology and trained in Kung Fu in China and America. He entered the artistic field by chance when he met… Director Ibrahim Afifi invited him to participate for the first time in the film “The Old Man and the Thug” in 1989.
Mansour succeeded in presenting films on martial arts, most notably “The Fist of the Crescent” in 1991, “The Fierce” in 1992, and “Desert Cat” in 1995.
Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim passed away in 2008.
