Al-Arabi organized the day before yesterday in an internal camp in preparation for facing the Lebanese star tomorrow in the second round of the third group competitions in the AFC Cup competition.
Al-Arabi and Al-Riffa of Bahrain share the lead with 3 points each, while Al-Najma and Al-Zawraa of Iraq have no points.
Al-Arabi media coordinator Mishal Al-Abakal said that facing Al-Najma “is not easy,” hoping to achieve his second victory in a row.
He explained that “Al-Arabi turned the page on the victory over Khaitan in the Zain League, and entered the atmosphere of the Asian Championship,” expressing his hopes that the victory in the local championship would give the players a morale boost before tomorrow’s match.
He pointed out that the goal of the Asian participation is “to qualify for the final rounds and compete in the next stages,” expressing his confidence in all the players to achieve this purpose, especially in light of the support and interest of the Board of Directors, and standing behind the team in order to achieve the desired results.
He noted that the team lacks the efforts of Suleiman Abdul Ghafour, Sultan Al-Enezi and Salman Al-Awadhi, due to the AFC’s decision to suspend them for 3 matches, against the backdrop of what happened against Al-Seeb of Oman in the last edition of the tournament, in addition to Hussein Ashkanani and Khaled Al-Murshed due to injury, considering that “the rest of the players have the ability and capabilities.” To fill any deficiency.”
On the other hand, the Al-Najma team delegation arrived the day before yesterday, and held its first training at Thamer Stadium, before training yesterday at Al-Sahel Stadium, while it trains today at Al-Kuwait Club Stadium.
The technical meeting will be held today at eleven o’clock in the morning in the meeting room of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, while the introductory press conference for the two teams will be held at five o’clock in the afternoon in the media center of the Kuwait Club.
