Primoz Roglic and the Giro dell’Emilia are a good marriage. On the day he confirmed that he would leave Jumbo-Visma, the Slovenian raced to his third victory in the Italian autumn classic. “This is very nice,” he said in the flash interview afterwards.
“It is an old, iconic race, with the climb of San Luca,” continued the Slovenian from Jumbo-Visma. “I like it, I love it. And it’s always nice to finish it. Moreover, I love Mortadella,” Roglic joked, referring to the sausage that comes from the finishing town of Bologna.
“It was super tough. I went for it and I had the legs to finish it,” said Roglic, who dedicated the victory to his family. “They always support me. In the good times, but also especially in the bad times. They are not there now, but they always cheer for me.”
