This is what we worked on this week on the ground and on video. (…) We know that there will be matches where we will have to be masters of the game and others where we will suffer. But suffering does not necessarily mean breaking up. We must be able to show the values of our team and of AS Saint-Étienne and, if we have to fall, we will have to fall with the feeling of having given everything on the pitch.“

A team built to play at the top of the table this season according to Laurent Mortel : “Montpellier is a team built to be in the top 3 of this D1 Arkema. The club changed its way of recruiting and went to look for some seasoned D1 players, also French players, which allowed it to save time in its preparation. I think this team will pose a problem for a lot of teams. (…) I expect possession to be in Montpellier but, however, it is neither possession nor the number of chances that move the scoreboard.
