Apple has introduced a large number of new features in iOS 17 and also in iPadOS 17. The two renewed versions of the operating systems for iPhone and iPad now offer multiple improvements that help expand the limits of your user experience. Especially with all the new Messages features

At iPadizate we have published very interesting guides to learn how to use iOS 17 news as useful as Contact Posters or Sleep mode. On this occasion, the time has come to share a tutorial on how to use one of the most fun features of iOS 17: how to create stickers from images and photographs on your iPhone.

How to create a sticker from Photos in iOS 17

With iOS 16, Apple’s software engineering offices implemented a very interesting functionality that offers the possibility of isolating or “removing” the subject of a photograph and… now, with the entry into the scene of iOS 17, it is also possible convert said subject into a sticker to share it on your favorite instant messaging apps.

The best thing about this functionality is that the sticker creation process is as fun as it is simple and intuitive. Furthermore, you can also keep sending images of your photos in Messages isolating people, animals or objects without showing the background. Although this last function was already available previously.

Follow the steps below to create a sticker from images in your Photos app in iOS 17:

Open the application Photos.Keep your finger pressed on the subject of a photo (see the video attached above).Press the right arrow from the drop-down menu. Finally click on the option “Add sticker”.You can include special effects to your stickers, which will be stored in a Messages category specially designed for them.

Additionally, you can also hold and drag the subject of a photo to send it as an image in Messages.

Create stickers directly in Messages

There is another alternative method to create your stickers from the Messages app. Follow the instructions we mentioned to do it:

Open Messages.Click on the button (+).Choose Stickers in the new drop-down menu. Search and tap the stickers category (next to the history clock icon). Tap (+).Choose an image from your photo gallery. The system will automatically take care of remove background of your image. Finally select Add sticker.

That easy! If you have followed the instructions correctly, you will now have your first personalized iOS 17 stickers. It is a very intuitive and fun process, I could spend the entire afternoon doing this!
