The biennial National Vaccination Days started in Heerlen last Tuesday.
As part of the National Vaccination Program, the Youth Health Care of the GGD South Limburg vaccinates children and young people against DTP, MMR, HPV and meningococcus. The first days were uneventful. There were hardly any queues and parents expressed that they were satisfied.
Spread over 10 days and three vaccination locations (Heerlen, Stein and Maastricht), the children and young people receive vaccinations against the infectious diseases DTP, MMR, the HPV virus and meningococcus.
The first days in Heerlen went smoothly. Last time there were quite long queues at times and parents and children had to wait longer. That is not the case this year. There are virtually no queues and waiting times are short. Most parents do not deviate from the agreed time and place. This contributes to the quick and effortless flow. We obviously hope to be able to maintain this on the following days in Stein and Maastricht.
Vaccination locations
Youth Health Care will vaccinate at the locations below in September and October. The invitation letter from the RIVM states the location, date and time at which the children are expected for the vaccination.
