With 50 scheduled shows, around a hundred performances given, 6 associated artists and companies, internationally renowned artists (Dominique A, Boubacar Traore, Carla Pallone, McCraven can handle it), but also up-and-coming local talents and partnerships with structures in the region, it is difficult to summarize the 2023/2024 Soufflerie season in a few words.
From October to June, the promise of beautiful musical offerings, but also eclectic and engaging, on the three Rezéenne stages (the Auditorium, the Barakason, the municipal theater).
Eclectic first, because if music is at the heart of this new programming, a growing place is given to dance with a dozen projects, and participation in two dance festivals, but also to new hybrid and experimental forms like the circus, film shows, ventriloquism, musical or dance theater.
Committed then, because in touch with the questions which agitate our societies, the Soufflerie will bring to the forefront gender equality, diversity, identities, ecology or even transgenerational relations and school bullying.
And because culture is not restricted to the stage, artists and companies will once again enliven the region. In schools, in workshops, in public spaces, more than 600 hours of interventions aimed at the public are planned and more than 150 days of residency.
