Call for Witnesses: Help Solve the Double Murder at an Airbnb Lodge in Châtonnay (Isère)

The research section of the Grenoble gendarmerie launched a call for witnesses this Friday, September 29, in order to find an individual as part of an investigation into a double murder, which occurred on August 6 in a lodge located in the town of Châtonnay (Isère).

Almost two months after a double murder in an Airbnb gîte in Châtonnay (Isère), the gendarmes of the Grenoble research section launched a call for witnesses, this Friday, September 29, to find traces of a mysterious individual.

This one, of Turkish origin, was in the Châtonnay sector on the day of the murders. It has also been seen in the municipalities of Saint-Jean-de-Bournay, Côte-Saint-André and Saint-Etienne-de-Geoirs, in Isère. He was then seen near the Lyon-Perrache station (Rhône), again during this Sunday, August 6. “He could have been picked up by a motorist”specify the gendarmes.

The identity of this man has not been revealed. But he would be between 25 and 30 years old and would speak little or no French. Another distinctive sign: he has a tattoo on his left wrist.

On Sunday August 6, two men were found shot to death in a lodge located in the town of Châtonnay, in the north of the Isère department. A third person, aged 27, was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody.

The two victims are said to be of Turkish nationality, as is the person sought. The route of settling scores was quickly prioritized, according to the Vienna prosecutor last August.

According to the autopsies carried out two days after the events, it emerged that “the first body was hit 12 times, mainly in the chest and head” et “the second was hit by a single bullet, in the chest”.

An investigation for “voluntary homicide” reclassified as “assassinate” had been opened. Then, the facts finally “been reclassified as murders by an organized gang and participation in a criminal association”.
