Tens of Demonstrations and rallies in the seven cities and in many other Galician towns are called this WednesdayMarch 8, within the framework of International Women’s Day, with the aim of demanding equality between men and women in different areas.

Citizens are called to take to the streets and demonstrate at 8:00 p.m. on the platform World March of Women (MMM) in cities like Ferrol (Amada García Square), Pontevedra (Praza de Ourense), Lugo (Government Building) and Ourense (Government Subdelegation).

OTHER MOBILIZATIONS

Other points of the Community such as Vilanova de Arousa (Pontevedra) will also host rallies, in this case at 7:00 p.m. in Praza do Parque.
UNIONS
Thus, the Secretariat of the Women of the CIG has called rallies in 12 cities and towns, in a day in which it will denounce the “job insecurity suffered by women in a context of economic crisis and rising prices that “are now unsustainable.”
At 11:00 a.m. the concentration is called The Navy (Ayuntamiento de Burela) at 11.30 am in A Coruña (Government Subdelegation) and Vigo (Cruce da Dobrada).
The rest will be at 12:00 p.m. Lugo (Government Building), Santiago (Plaza Roja), Ferrol (Avenida de Esteiro), The Bridges (Hospital Plaza), Pontevedra (Union Building), Vilagarcía (Auditorium), Cangas (Bus station), The Guard (Plazas As de Copas) and Ourense (Government Building).
For their part, CC.OO and UGT do not plan to call a strike, although both unions have told Europa Press that they will support the demonstrations or rallies that take place in each location.
STUDENT MOBILIZATIONS

OTHER ACTIVITIES OF 8M
The protest day will be complemented with activities organized in parallel, by social groups, entities or institutions around this issue, with proposals such as workshops or conferences, and which, in some cases, will last throughout March.
Other events are added to the rallies and demonstrations, such as the Fundamar and Funopromar foundations with the UNED of Pontevedra who will pay tribute to the women of the sea next March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Monte Porreiro headquarters in Pontevedra.
