The merger between Perum Damri and PPD has been underway for three months. The transition period for PPD’s land transportation business to Damri will soon be completed.
The business merger of these two state-owned transportation companies has shown positive results in expanding the reach of public transportation services in the Jabodetabek area.
The achievement is reflected in the number of passengers using the Jabodetabek Residence Connexion or JR Connexion mode, which is now served under the DAMRI banner, reaching more than 400,000 thousand passengers.

“The merger of Perum PPD into Perum DAMRI has positive implications for increasing business scale and service innovation. Now DAMRI can strengthen community services from residential areas to office centers, trade and industry in the Jakarta area with optimal service,” said Plt. Corporate Secretary Damri Chrystian RM Pohan in his statement, Thursday (28/9/2023).
In serving community mobilization in the Jabodetabek area, Damri has recorded a passenger reach of 464,978 thousand people starting from June – August 2023.
Meanwhile, JR Connexion is integrated with shopping centers, such as Cibinong City Mall, Mega City Bekasi, to Summarecon Mall Serpong as well as intermodal facilities such as LRT City Bekasi, supporting the need for easy and fast mobilization.
To encourage people’s desire to use public transportation, Damri continues to strive to build quality assets with affordable and integrated route services. Damri prioritizes implementing Excellent Service to create the best customer experience.
“By expanding the business scale, this merger opens up opportunities for the Company to choose various best innovations in the field of land transportation on a national and even regional scale,” concluded Pohan.
