In an exciting development for superhero fans, Shawn Levythe director of the next movie Deadpool 3promises that the film will be a tribute to the legacy of Fox When it comes to the iconic characters of Deadpool y Wolverine. Despite his incorporation into the Marvel Cinematic Universe of DisneyLevy intends to maintain the history and distinctive personalities these characters have forged in their time at 20th Century Fox.
In an interview with Total Film Magazine, Levy stressed that the arrival of Deadpool y Wolverine to the world of Disney doesn’t mean the film will completely erase their previous history at Fox. Instead, the film will explore the different tones these characters established during their era at Fox rather than simply adapting them to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“Deadpool and Wolverine are iconic Marvel characters, more specifically, iconic characters from the Fox era of Marvel,” he commented. Levy. “We are not going to pretend that, suddenly, with the snap of a finger, that Fox legacy, which largely shaped what we now know as the Cinematic Universe of Marvel. Fox also shaped Ryan’s career, Hugh’s career and my career. So there’s a lot of history there, and there’s a lot of Marvel history at Fox. And certainly, that’s part of our storytelling.”
Levy He also commented on the leak of photos of Reynolds y Jackman in the set of Deadpool 3 in 2022. Although he would have preferred to avoid showing the characters’ costumes until official marketing materials were released, Levy said he was willing to risk the film’s secrecy for the opportunity to film in real locations.
“It bothers me that the photos were leaked online,” he admitted. “But this is the price we pay for committing to real locations. I made a decision very early in pre-production that, although Deadpool now it is in the MCUI didn’t want another Marvel movie filmed on a green screen set with digital set extensions.”
Although few expected that Hugh Jackman played again Wolverine after Loganthe multiverse storytelling device of the MCU creates opportunities to revisit characters without altering previous timelines. Jackman recently explained that the character’s entry into the MCU made it easier for him to return to the role.
“It’s all because of this device they have in the Marvel world to move through the timelines,” he explained. Jackman. “Now we can go back because, you know, it’s science. So I don’t have to modify the timeline of Logan, which was important to me. And I think probably for the fans too.” @mundiario
