Mikael Lustig, 36, put his shoes on the shelf after the past season, and is currently working as an expert at TV4. At the same time, he recently said, in Fotbollskanalen’s deadline day broadcast, that he misses being part of a club, and among other things is open to a coaching role, as he has completed coaching training.
– Being part of a leadership team and being part of a team, that’s where I know I’m good. But at the same time, I have become very interested in learning other things when it comes to the club, maybe working against sponsors or something. I don’t feel clear about exactly what I want to do, he said then.
Now reporting The evening paper that Lustig, who lives in Västerås, has had a meeting with the super-one association Västerås SK about a role in the club.
– I only know that someone on our board has had a meeting with Mikael. Then what was said or what they came to, I actually don’t know, says Västerås SK’s club manager Patrik Lundstedt to the newspaper and continues:
– I have only met Mikael a couple of times, but he seems to be a great guy and he knows football, there is no doubt about that. So it would be very flattering for us if he would now like to have a role here in some way.
VSK is currently at the top of the super league and is about to be ready for play in the Allsvenskan in 2024.
