Jakarta –
Two-wheeled manufacturer from Japan, Honda officially launched Honda SP 125 Sports Edition in India. Interestingly, this naked-bike type vehicle is only priced at 90,567 rupees or around IDR 16 million.
The nominal value is still cheaper than the Honda BeAT which is sold starting at IDR 18 million in Indonesia. So, with its affordable price, what advantages does the Honda SP 125 Sports Edition offer?
Reporting from Transport, Wednesday (27/9), the Honda SP 125 Sports Edition still carries the typical naked-bike style in Hindustan. This vehicle for beginner or entry level consumers has a muscular body with an engine that is left open. Meanwhile, the head is large with wide designed lights.

Like naked motorbikes in India in general, the Honda SP 125 Sports Edition is equipped with a thick stand with a stepped surface in the second row. The manufacturer also equipped it with a minimalist wind barrier at the front and a mounted turn signal that is ’embedded’ in the head.
This iron horse is equipped with a number of standard features, such as full LED lighting, digital instrument panel and disc braking system. Unfortunately, the vehicle has not been equipped with an antilock braking system and a smart keyless system.
The Honda SP 125 Sports Edition uses a 123.94 cc single-cylinder engine with PGM-FI technology and the highest emission standards. This provision makes the vehicle capable of producing 10.7 hp of power and 10.9 Nm of torque.

Tsutsumu Otani as CEO of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India admitted that he was confident that the new motorbike could attract consumer interest in the Land of Bharat. Moreover, the SP-series is an entry-level naked-bike whose sales are quite impressive in the local area.
“Since its introduction, the Honda SP125 has impressed customers with its advanced features, stylish design and thrilling performance in the 125cc premium commuter motorbike segment. We are confident that the launch of the new SP125 Sports Edition will further delight our customers, especially the younger generation,” said Otani.
The Honda SP 125 Sports Edition has been marketed in India at a price of IDR 16 million. Interestingly, the manufacturer has prepared a 10 year guarantee for purchasing this motorbike. Three years of official guarantee, while seven years is optional.
