The manager of the Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children “Louis Țurcanu” in Timișoara, Dr. Adam Ovidiu, informed that it was not an open flame and that the smoke started from a compressed air installation that lost oil. “We decided to evacuate the 24 patients, to avoid any danger, but there was no open flame. We took the entire compressed air system out of service. At this moment, all patients, children, will be able to be brought back to the hospital”, manager Adam Ovidiu said.
“Today, at 9:12 p.m., we were notified by calling 112 about smoke emissions at the “Louis Țurcanu” Children’s Clinical Hospital in Timișoara. Detachments 1 and 2 of the Timișoara Fire Department were alerted and 1 officer and 45 non-commissioned officers went to the scene of the event with six special fire trucks, two mechanical ladders for work and rescue from height, two first intervention and command trucks, two SMURD ambulances and three SAJ ambulances.
When the intervention crews arrived at the scene of the event, smoke was found in the oxygen room. Fortunately, there were no casualties. 14 adults (medical staff) and 20 relatives together with 24 children were evacuated, moved to the main hospital building. Action was taken to ventilate the room”, ISU Timișoara also transmitted.
“This evening, in the technical room of the Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children “Louis Țurcanu” in Timișoara, there were smoke emissions from the electrical equipment of a compressor. 25 children, 20 family members and 14 medical personnel were safely evacuated. Firefighters acted to ventilate the spaces and after checks, it was found that there is no danger. The children will return to the living room”, the Ministry of Health also transmitted.

Strong releases of smoke on Wednesday evening at the Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children “Louis Țurcanu” in Timișoara. According to G4Media information, the smoke comes from the orthopedic surgery ward, from an oxygen station.
