“I received a lot of messages saying: take care of yourself, take a break, take care of your health and your family. I decided to listen to myself, to listen to you […] I’m going to take a break. We are going to postpone our fall shows,” he said in a message shared on his own Instagram page.
The tour postponement includes shows that were scheduled to take place in Europe. “We don’t know when exactly, but we’ll come see you.”
“I want to focus on my treatments and getting back into physical and mental shape. I want to come back in better shape with more energy,” added the artist.
Many admirers of the group also welcomed the singer’s decision under the latter’s publication.
“I want to put more juice in the tank, I want to give the treatments a chance to take effect. I hope you will understand,” he said. “I love you. Thank you for the love you gave us this summer.”
By his own admission, Karl Tremblay emphasizes that the Cowboys Fringants shows take a lot of energy.
“Cowboys shows are demanding, we like it when it moves, we like it when people sing, when people dance with us,” he said.
However, he confirmed that he will continue to hold shows at the Assomption with his sidekick Jean-François Pauzé with whom he works under the group name Le Shack à Jean-Karl.
The legendary Quebec group was forced this summer to postpone or cancel numerous dates due to the singer’s state of health.
The group, however, offered a historic show on the Plains of Abraham at the Quebec Summer Festival, attracting a record crowd of 90,000 spectators.
