Youth Media Forum and Arab Media Forum Organizers Attracting 100 Volunteers

Dubai, September 27 / WAM / The activities of the “Youth Media Forum” in its first session, and the “Arab Media Forum” in its 21st session, attracted the participation of about 100 young men and women volunteers in organizing the two events.

This comes within the framework of the keenness of the Dubai Press Club, the organizing body, to open the door to volunteering for young people, especially male and female media students and media graduates in the UAE, to participate in organizing a media event that is the largest of its kind in the Arab world, with the attendance of about 3,000 media professionals. Those involved in the media sector from the UAE and various parts of the region and the world.

Moza Obaid, member of the organizing committee of the Arab Media Forum and responsible for volunteers at the forum, said that the Dubai Press Club is always keen to involve the largest possible number of young volunteers in the events it organizes, especially the Arab Media Forum, where they participate in supporting various organizational aspects, with the aim of developing their capabilities, And providing them with the culture and skill of working in a team spirit, which is one of the most important features of the work system that has brought Dubai to the global ranks.

Voluntary participation in organizing an event of the size of the Arab Media Forum, and the value of its guests and their status as the most important and prominent media makers in the Arab world, serves to prepare young people and equip them to engage in the labor market, as well as to establish the concept of volunteer and collective work among the younger generations, in addition to the great value that this part represents. For male and female media students, by volunteering in the forum, they have a rare opportunity to communicate and have direct interaction with senior media figures in the region and the world.

Moza Obaid explained that before the forum is held, volunteers undergo several hours of training on the protocols followed in each field of specialization, and are trained on how to deal tactfully with guests and take the initiative to answer all their inquiries and assist them in obtaining the services they need at various times of the forum.

The male and female volunteers were distributed in more than 20 areas, including: the media center, photography, new media, protocol and welcoming guests, managing the theaters where the sessions are held, guiding guests to the locations of the sessions and their times, managing logistical operations, inquiries, guests’ movements, and other important details. Which ensures the comfort of guests throughout their participation in the forum, emphasizing hospitality, which is one of the most important and authentic Emirati characteristics.
