Director Will Koopman has made a series for Videoland about the life of Patty Brard. Actresses Holly Mae Brood and Eva van de Wijdeven play the presenter and singer in different phases of her life, Brard himself announced.
Brard was initially not immediately enthusiastic when she was approached by Koopman about the series. “Why another drama series?” she wonders after the reality series in which she also showed parts of her life. “I’m still alive, right? So my life can’t have been that bad?” Brard jokes.
She was eventually persuaded to give the series the green light. “The word no does not appear in Will Koopman’s dictionary,” says Brard.
The presenter and singer praises the cast of the series about her life. Brood plays Brard in her younger years and Van de Wijdeven in her later years.
It has not yet been announced when exactly the series will appear on Videoland.
