EA Removes FIFA Games from Digital Stores: Introduces EA Sports FC 24 Instead

Electronic Arts with International Football Association did not break up for good. But probably no one expected this. EA from digital stores for PC and consoles removed all parts of FIFA. The PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic Games Store and Nintendo eShop do not even have last year’s FIFA. It is offered to you instead EA Sports FC 24.

“EA SPORTS FIFA 23 has been removed from search results and public display on the Steam store at the publisher’s request,” says Valve in an explanation. The only way to play FIFA 23 is EA Play subscriptionwhich is also recommended on Steam.

EA removed the games quietly. According to SteamDB, this move on Steam happened on 9/21 of this year, the day before EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Edition was released. The standard ones will be available from 9/29. For example, FIFA 23’s official website continues to link to digital platforms when you click on the banner to buy the game.

If you have purchased any FIFA parts, you can continue to play them. This move by EA only affects new players.

Electronic Arts’ nearly 30-year collaboration with the International Football Association ended this year. EA refused to sign a new contract. Allegedly, FIFA wanted a billion dollars for the name FIFA for four years and classically threw the developers under their feet. The last game from EA Sports bearing the FIFA name is FIFA 23. From this year, the creators are concentrating on their own EA Sports FC brand, which they are heavily promoting, while FIFA is set to work with a number of studios and publishers to bring more games that are different from each other to different platforms in the coming years. FIFA President Gianni Infantino claimed that the best e-sports games for every boy and girl would be FIFA 25, 26, 27 and so on.
