Darty and Rakuten Partner to Strengthen E-Commerce Presence and Expand Product Offerings

Darty and Rakuten join forces in e-commerce. Darty is thus strengthening its omni-channel strategy by amplifying its presence on the web. Rakuten is expanding its catalog by marketing Darty’s offering and services on its marketplace.

A Darty digital store on Rakuten

Darty opens a digital store on the Rakuten France shopping platform. Rakuten buyers will gradually be able to access the entire product offering offered directly by Darty in the multimedia, telephony, household appliances, health and connected beauty categories. Darty thus reaches an additional audience of 15 million unique users per month. Rakuten is expanding its offering with products sourced by Darty, associated with the brand’s services such as delivery and installation.

This partnership combines Darty’s range of products and services with Club R services. Via the Club R cashback system, buyers will be able to recover between 5% and 35% of the amount of their purchases in their kitty. “With this partnership, we want to offer the French an enriched shopping experience while preserving their purchasing power, in particular thanks to cashback” presents Fabien Versavau, CEO of Rakuten France and Executive Officer Rakuten Group. Rakuten strengthens its position as a marketplace for retailers.
