Swimming with music and light show: Nordbad open until midnight
Under the motto “Be active”, the European Week of Sport has been inviting people across Europe every year since 2015 to lead a more active lifestyle and move more. This year the science city of Darmstadt is taking part in this initiative for the first time. Mayor Hanno Benz has now pointed this out.
Darmstädter Sportstätten GmbH (DSG) will open on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
together with the sports office, the pool company and numerous committed sports clubs, opened their doors in the Bürgerpark.
This cooperation created a colorful and diverse range of sports for people of all ages. Athletes have the opportunity to try out sports such as basketball, BMX riding, Ultimate Frisbee, Roundnet, yoga and much more and get excited about various shows.
OB Hanno Benz: “I wish everyone involved that this new event will become a permanent highlight in Darmstadt’s sports calendar and help to further strengthen or rekindle the desire for exercise and sport. With the Bürgerpark Darmstadt, there is a special sports park available that is particularly encouraging and inviting.”
The water course in the Nordbad is open on this day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. At 7.30 p.m. the pool invites you to a swimming pool party with music and light effects. The swimming pool is exceptionally open until midnight on this day.
In addition, the Blau Gold Casino Darmstadt club is also opening its dance sports center behind the ice rink. There are free taster workshops from 2 p.m. The Darmstadt ice rink also invites you to “Fun on Ice” at the start of the season from 7 p.m.
