The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Hubble Space Telescope has been known for taking stunning images of outer space for years. One of the stunning images of the Sombrero Galaxy was captured by the space telescope. This galaxy is located on the southern edge of the galaxy-rich Virgo Cluster and is 28 million light years from Earth.
The space agency published, on Instagram, an image showing the galaxy in all its glory. Capturing galaxies in visible light, the Spitzer Space Telescope observes galaxies in infrared at four different microns: blue, green, orange, and red.
Next to the image, there is a caption that reads: “The Sombrero Galaxy is visible here almost from the edge. This spiral galaxy is 50,000 light years in diameter, about half the size of our Milky Way Galaxy. And at the center of the Sombrero Galaxy, scientists think there is a black hole.” About a billion times bigger than our sun.”

In the image, the left and right edges of the Sombrero Galaxy appear red, the center of the ring appears yellow and green, and the center of the galaxy appears light blue with a white core. Stars and galaxies appear dotted throughout the image.
Previously, NASA shared a stunning and captivating image captured by the Hubble Space Telescope showing a distant galaxy that witnessed a powerful supernova event recently.
