The hit of the 9th league round in Eden was accompanied by great emotions, and the nervous process culminated in the 88th minute. After the foul of Slavist Mojmír Chytil on Sparta goalkeeper Peter Vindahl, a scuffle broke out on the lawn and captains Bořil and Krejčí got into a fight. Both received a red card from the referee, Bořil was more active and also sent visiting Lukáš Haraslín to the ground.

Řehák and Baranek illegally ran onto the lawn, and the Slavist assistant also slightly pulled the fourth referee Ondřej Pechance’s sleeve after being sent off. The commission assessed the behavior of Bořil and Krejčí as physical assault and, according to the relevant section of the disciplinary code, could award a penalty of up to eight competitive matches.

“During the evaluation, the commission took into account the entire course of the conflict and assessed that Krejčí’s player was primarily in possession and foul play. The player Bořil was also hit, even in relation to the player Haraslín,” explained the chairman of the commission, Richard Baček, why Bořil received a higher punishment.

Krejčí will miss Wednesday’s home cup match at the Lišně stadium and the weekend’s league clash with Pilsen. Bořil will also miss the MOL Cup match and the subsequent three league rounds. Sparta drew 1:1 in the derby against Slavia, and the score remained at the top of the league table.
