The traveling exhibition Magical Hungary can now be visited in Vác – Danube Bend Region

The traveling exhibition Magical Hungary has arrived in Vác and will be hosted by the popular K16 Contemporary Gallery until October 18. The exhibition is the country’s most exciting nature photography contest and professional platform. Its mission is to open a window to the natural treasures of the country’s national parks through nature photos, thereby drawing attention to the importance of nature conservation.

The exhibition made from the pictures of the 2022 tender season presents 209 pictures by 70 artists. At the exhibition, the portfolios of the first three winners of the Hungarian nature photography grand prize are given a special place, but the visitor can also see the pictures of the winners of the various competition categories. The exhibition also presents a representative selection of the magical natural world of Hungary’s ten national parks: beautiful landscapes, peaceful and tense moments of animals’ daily lives, and artistic depictions of a world invisible to the naked eye.

Bence Rétvári, Vác’s parliamentarian, opened the exhibition

At the opening of the exhibition, Bence Rétvári, the region’s parliamentary representative, said: “today there is a lot of talk about nature conservation, environmental protection, green thinking. I think that the basis of the whole thing is to get to know nature, to walk in nature, to love nature! Anyone who pays attention to small birds, the first snow flower as a harbinger of spring, who knows the animals of the forest, who is not afraid of a bug or a hedgehog, but is interested in it, follows it, watches it, will surely pay more attention to nature. This exhibition is important because it really helps people find their way back to the natural world from this artificial world and helps protect our planet better.”

According to Bence Rétvári, the exhibition is also about patriotism. “Maybe by bike, maybe by train, maybe by car, but there are beautiful parts of our country that can be reached within a few hours. This exhibition also draws attention to the values of our country,” he pointed out.

The traveling exhibition has previously toured the Hungarian National Museum, the Gödöllő Royal Castle, the Hungarian Agricultural Museum, the Hungarian Natural History Museum and the Kölcsey Center in Debrecen.
