Renault Market Share and Rankings in Latvia: Sales, Electric Cars, and Commercial Vehicles

In eight months of this year, Renault has increased its market share in Latvia and now ranks fifth among car brands. The volume of sales of passenger cars increases (by 40%), while in the commercial transport market, Renault ranks second with 374 registered cars.

Renault is proud of its excellent overall results – it has the fifth place in Latvia in terms of sales of new passenger cars and vans – 670 cars were registered from January to August 2023, and thus Renault covers a 4.4% market share.

The Renault Arkana is the most popular of Renault’s passenger cars, gaining special approval from private customers, who make up more than half of the buyers of this model. Most often, customers choose the Techno E-Tech full hybrid 145 version. Renault Arkana has reached 83 vehicles registered in the C-SUV segment from the beginning of the year to the end of August. Sales of the Renault Arkana hybrid version have doubled between July and August.

Renault Trafic Passenger confirms its place in the top three of the minibus segment – 80 cars were newly registered in the first eight months of this year, which is 15% of the Latvian market.

Renault maintains the second place in the light commercial vehicle segment with 374 registered models, led by the Renault Master, while the second place in the minivan segment is occupied by the Renault Trafic.

The Renault Master maintains the confidence of light commercial vehicle customers, finding 267 buyers from January to August, and is well ahead of the competition. However, the stable and significant popularity of the Renault Master can be calculated not in months, but in years, as this model came to the top of the rating of vans up to 3.5 t already in 2010 and has settled there to stay.

Renault Trafic once again takes first place in the mid-size van segment – 65 cars were registered in the first eight months of this year. Trafic has been in first place since 2019.
