Defeated 1-0 by Borneo FC, Bernardo Tavares highlights the referee and calls him the man of the match

FAJAR.CO.ID, SAMARINDA — PSM Makassar must recognize the superiority of the home team Borneo FC in the 13th week of the Indonesian League 1 competition for the 2023/2024 season.

The match which was presented at the Segiri Stadium in Samarinda, Monday (25/9/2023) ended with a narrow score of 1-0 for Borneo FC.

The only goal scored in this match came in the second half through Leo Lelis through the penalty spot.

After the match, PSM Makassar coach Bernardo Tavares congratulated the host team, Borneo FC, after winning three points.

However, he admitted that he was angry with the referee who led his match tonight. Because according to him, many of the decisions he took were detrimental to PSM Makassar.

“First of all, I congratulate Borneo FC, because they have provided a very good atmosphere at the Stadium,” said Bernardo Tavares in the press conference session after the match, Monday (25/9/2023).

“The last time we played here, we never had any problems with the referee. I think Man Of The Match today is the referee,” he said.

One of the decisions that was most highlighted by the Portuguese coach was the penalty given to the home team a few minutes before the match ended.

Referee Ginanjar Rahman Latief also pointed to the spot in the 79th minute after he deemed a PSM player had committed a violation in the 12 pass box.

“And if it weren’t for this penalty the result wouldn’t be like this, maybe a draw or maybe a loss,” he said.

“But if we do lose, it won’t be like that or with a penalty. “At least we feel that we are still appreciated,” he said.
