Mayor of Hettange Plans Inclusive Mobility Service for North Moselle by 2028 amid Challenges

The mayor of Hettange, Roland Balcerzak, reaffirmed his desire to work with the Department “to set up an inclusive mobility service for all populations in North Moselle by 2028.”

In the process, he damaged Smitu (Thionville Fensch Joint Urban Transport Union). His doubts about the routes of public transport services and the high costs of BHLS (high-level service buses or electric buses) “and the shortcomings of the service in rural areas” are for him all explanations which justify his choice to follow another path.

An economic and demographic challenge

Although the PLU is validated, it cannot be made official due to challenges to the Administrative Court. “This situation has serious economic and demographic consequences, affecting schools, healthcare and access to housing for young people. »

The mayor underlined the driving role of the city in the cultural, sporting, economic and administrative fields.

Hettange is home to a dynamic population of more than 8,000 inhabitants. “We seek to harmonize population growth with available public services. »

There is no shortage of challenges, particularly when it comes to travelers. “We demand compliance with the rules by everyone. »

Environmental protection, sustainable mobility, economic development and rigorous financial management are pillars.

Cultural and festive events attract large crowds. “Fairy Christmas is in preparation and promises to be exceptional.” And to affirm: “We are determined to offer a multimodal room that lives up to our reputation. »

“Hettange has overcome its past divisions thanks to our committed team, and we continue to be present and active in all areas for the well-being of the city. »
