Ras Al Khaimah, September 25 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah; The Ras Al Khaimah Foundation for the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences launched the twenty-second session of the Ras Al Khaimah Holy Qur’an Award, which opened the doors for registration in its various competitions to various segments of society.
Registration will continue for two months, from September 21 to November 15, via the award’s website https://quranrak.ae.
This came during the launch conference, which was held in the conference hall at the InterContinental Mina Al Arab Resort, in the presence of Sheikh Saqr bin Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ras Al Khaimah Foundation for the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences, His Excellency Ahmed Mohammed Al Shehhi, Director General of the Foundation, and His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Subaean Al Taniji, Secretary General and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee. For the award, the directors and directors of the centers, a number of officials, sponsors, partners, and a group of invitees.
Sheikh Saqr bin Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi highlighted the generous patronage of the award from His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, and seeks through its competitions and events to translate the leadership approach. Al-Hakima is committed to devoting competition and creativity in society and instilling positive values and good citizenship. In its current session, it was keen to enhance the leadership’s vision in caring for space science and its exploration through its many Quranic and other local and international competitions, to be a bright beacon for generations and a motivation for them to advance themselves and their country, thanking the wise leadership for its continued support. For this blessed award.
The conference began with the recitation of fragrant verses urging contemplation about the universe and space. After that, the Foundation’s speech was delivered by Ahmed Mohammed Al Shehhi, Director General of the Foundation, in which he explained the pioneering role of the Award and what it seeks to enhance the outcomes of wise leadership through a sustainable development approach to develop in each session of its competitions and create new competitions that keep pace with the vision of Wise leadership in renaissance, development, building humanity, and devoting positive values. In its new session, the award introduced many competitions that made caring for the universe and space the focus of its attention to keep pace with the vision of the wise leadership in caring for this vital, important field.
This was followed by the showing of a short film about the achievements of the award in its last session, then the award speech was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Subayan Al-Tunaiji, Secretary-General and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Award, in which he reviewed the award’s competitions and its novelties in its current session, which included a competition for the best research on the universe and space in the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, which included On three axes: the stars and planets and their phenomena, the moon and its phases and phenomena, and the religious and cultural connotations of the Qur’an and Sunnah’s concern for the universe and space, coinciding with the success of the mission of the Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi and his safe return to the homeland after completing the longest space mission in Arab history.
The award’s competitions also included the Psalms of the Family of David competition for the most beautiful voices in reciting the Holy Qur’an through the recitation of verses selected by the organizing committee about the universe and space, the most beautiful voice in the call to prayer competition, which the award introduced for the first time in its history, and the international competition Flashes from the Emirates designated for all those wishing to participate from various backgrounds. Around the world, which includes various questions aimed at highlighting the achievements of the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the Holy Qur’an Competition, the Women’s Competition, the Holy Qur’an Competition for Imams and Muezzins of Mosques, the Holy Qur’an Competition for Memorizers, the People of Determination Competition, the Competition for Inmates of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, the New Muslims Competition, and the Noble Hadith and Sunnah Competition, with a total of 12 questions. Competition and 27 competitive branches.
Al-Tunaiji stressed the continuous support that the award receives from the wise leadership, which is always keen to sponsor the awards and purposeful community activities and provide all kinds of support and motivation for members of society to participate and benefit from them.
