Mortal Kombat 1 proved to be a hit in the UK market, reaching number one on the UK box set sales charts. However, Chris Ding of Gamesindustry.biz reports that the latest fighting game is down 38% compared to the launch of Mortal Kombat 11.
Of course, physical sales have become less common over time, but it’s worth noting that the introduction of new fighter jets has taken a bit of a hit. In terms of other recent major releases, P’s Lie made a great first impression, ranking third on the sales charts, 1+2 ahead of Pikmin.
Payday 3 comes in at No. 7, which isn’t surprising considering that a lot of the game’s sales are likely to come from the PC market. However, Starfield has dropped to 19th place, while The Crew Motorfest is in 11th place.
