“It looks very nice,” responds a nearby neighbor, who currently lives directly next to the Eendenburcht, which will soon become the new mosque. ‘You think in advance; what is it going to be,” he continues. ‘But we are pleasantly surprised with the design. We think it fits well into the street scene.’ Other local residents also responded positively. ‘As a Christian I go to church here in Wateringen, and I am a bit jealous when I look at this building. But they are very pleased with it, because they have fought for it for a long time.’
