Jakarta –
A Florida resident on his way to a job interview received the surprise of a lifetime. He found a giant alligator measuring 14 feet or about 4.3 meters dragging a human corpse down a canal towards a lake in Ridgecrest Park.
Officers then caught the crocodile and found the victim’s body. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said the death occurred near a five-acre lake in Largo, a Tampa suburb.
Witness JaMarcus Bullard told local TV station Bay News 9 that he was on his way to a job interview when he saw the horrific scene.
“I knew there was a body in his mouth, so I started recording,” he said.
Bullard added that he could recognize the human body caught in the crocodile’s jaws, which prompted him to seek help.
“When I saw what was inside, I thought, ‘Is that like a mannequin’s body?’ The color is pale and white,” he said.
He ran to the Largo Fire Department office which is near the lake. Then firefighters and emergency personnel from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office rushed to the scene and captured the alligator.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) told Fox 13 that the alligator was killed. Bullard told Bay News 9 he heard several gunshots before officers pulled the alligator out of the water.
The neighbors were shocked to learn of this incident. Terri Williams visited the scene and admitted that she was shocked to see the presence of the giant alligator.
“I never dreamed there would be alligators in this area,” Williams said. “Sure, I know there’s a lake across the street, and I know about the lake at Taylor Park, but not in this neighborhood. No, I would never have thought of it that way.”
It is unclear whether the alligator was responsible for the man’s death, but police are continuing their investigation.
