Igor Krutoy has been mentoring and producing musical talents since the 80s. Such artists as Zhanna Friske, Valery Syutkin, Alexander Malinin, Dmitry Hvorostovsky, Sergei Shnurov, Tatyana Bulanova and others collaborated with him. True, working with one of the singers turned out to be a disaster.
Krutoy suggested promoting the nineties star Natalia Vlasova. The process was controlled by the performer’s influential husband, who carefully discussed the terms of the contract and double-checked all documents. True, the husband’s “concern” backfired on the celebrity – Igor Krutoy refused to continue working together with the couple.
Vlasova’s chosen one delayed negotiations for six months and fooled his potential partner. The star producer did not wait so long, switching to other musicians. “Igor Yakovlevich ended up freaking out. “He just couldn’t stand it anymore,” the singer confessed in a conversation with Boris Korchevnikov in the “Fate of a Man” program.
