Severe Flooding in Somers Point: Streets and Intersections Impassable

In the town of Somers Point the only thing you can see is water and many streets and intersections are practically impassable.

Although the climatic phenomenon was degraded to a post-tropical cyclone, this Sunday, the coastal areas of New Jersey remain on alert due to rising water.

Warning for strong waves remains in place until Sunday night

As a preventive measure, the authorities of Nassau, Queens and Kings counties issued a warning for strong waves, which will remain in effect at least until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Most of the precipitation occurs south of New Jersey, although Long Island and central New York have also been affected by rain.
