With a 4-1 win, FC Ingolstadt 04 got three points from the Sport-Club Freiburg reserves. The FCI did their homework carefully and scored a three-pointer against the underdog.
Jannik Mause put the sports club behind in the 17th minute with a right-footed shot. At the break, Ingolstadt had a razor-thin lead. Freiburg II made two changes at halftime. From then on, Franci Bouebari and Pascal Fallmann replaced Joel Bichsel and Alexander Lungwitz. Mause scored a brace with his second goal and put his team on the road to victory (62′). In the 64th minute, Deichmann scored with his left foot to make it 3-0 in favor of FC Ingolstadt 04. Benjamin Kanurić sank the ball with his right foot to make it 4-0 for the guests (67th). Ryan Johansson scored the consolation goal for Sport-Club Freiburg II in the 69th minute. There was certainty that there would only be one winner of the match in the 79th minute when Lukáš Ambros was sent off by the host with a traffic light card . With the final whistle from referee Leonidas Exuzidis, the FCI won against the sports club.
Freiburg II has five points and is in 19th place. There is a lull in Sport-Club Freiburg II’s attack. The sports club only put the ball in the opponent’s goal six times. With four defeats, but only one win and two draws, Freiburg II’s prospects are anything but positive. With four out of 15 possible points from the last five games, Sport-Club Freiburg II still has room for improvement.
Ingolstadt made one move in the table and finds itself in sixth place. FC Ingolstadt 04’s previous games have always provided high entertainment value, as no one in the 3rd league has scored more goals than FCI (13). Ingolstadt currently has three wins, one draw and three defeats. In the last five matches, FC Ingolstadt 04 only picked up seven points.
The sports club will play against SV Waldhof Mannheim next Saturday, and the FCI will welcome SSV Ulm 1846 on the same day.
