This is not the first time that Mayor LFI has been the target of threats. After the refusal of Robert Ménard, far-right mayor of Béziers, to proceed with the marriage of an Algerian in an irregular situation, the elected official criticized this decision before receiving a wave of hate messages. “After the provocations this summer by the far right against me, and in particular the death threats for which I filed a complaint, this incident is not neutral,” recalls René Revol in his message posted Saturday evening.
