Meanwhile, in women’s football, Team India was eliminated after losing to Thailand. Thailand defeated India by 1 goal in Group B match.
Indian women performed well in the competition but lost to the mighty Thailand. Parichat Thongrong scored for Thailand in the 53rd minute. India managed to pull back the goal, but the goal was denied due to the offside.
India lost 2-1 to Chinese Taipei in the first match. There were three teams in Group B. India were eliminated after losing both the matches.
