Five men were shot dead during police action in the early hours of this Saturday (23), in the city of Crisópolis, 210 km from Salvador. According to the Military Police, the suspects were shot during a confrontation with the agents. Machine gun, ammunition and drugs were seized.
According to a statement sent to CORREIO, the action was initiated after the corporation received information that men were selling drugs on Rua Maria Eunice. As the police approached, they were met with gunfire, triggering a confrontation. After the exchange of gunfire, a man was found injured and taken to Crisópolis Municipal Hospital, where he died. With him, the police found a 9 mm submachine gun, 14 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, 150 grams and 14 pins of cocaine, a portion of marijuana, two precision scales and R$ 14.00 in cash, says the note.
According to the PM, when the search continued in the region, a second confrontation occurred. At the time, four other suspects were hit and taken to the hospital, but they did not survive their injuries. “With them were found a 12 gauge shotgun with two fired rounds and two intact, two 38 caliber revolvers with four intact rounds and six fired rounds, a 32 caliber revolver with six fired rounds and one intact, 17 portions of marijuana, a portion of cocaine , a portion of crack, two precision scales, a wristwatch, a chain, several pins for packaging drugs and R$ 79.00 in cash”, says the PM.
