Microsoft revealed in the update that is currently being rolled out for testing in the “Windows Insiders” program that the Paint program will soon gain support for the layers and transparent background feature.
According to the “Raqmi” platform, this feature will allow users to create more complex and realistic images, by adding multiple elements to the same image and editing them independently.
Layers: Users can add new layers to the image, rearrange, move, merge, and duplicate them. Transparent background: When part of a layer is cleared, elements from the layers below it will become visible. Transparent PNG files: Transparent PNG files can be opened and saved without backgrounds.
Launch date:
These features are expected to be released in the final version of Paint later this year.
