The government has begun last-minute coordination to announce real estate supply measures before Chuseok.
In order to recover the weakened construction economy, it is expected to include measures to expand financial support to private construction companies and ease regulations on non-apartment buildings such as officetels and urban living housing.

As the construction industry froze in the first half of this year, the number of housing starts fell by half compared to last year.
Due to concerns about a supply shortage that will occur in two to three years, a red light has also been turned on on the blueprint for stabilizing housing for the common people, which promised to supply 2.7 million households within this government’s term.
The government plans to announce real estate supply measures before Chuseok to calm market anxiety.
First of all, it includes a plan to expand financial support to construction companies to increase the supply of housing at the private level.
We are providing breathing room by increasing the scale of real estate project financing and PF support.

We are also considering ways to revitalize the supply of non-apartments such as officetels and urban living housing.
Even if you buy a small house of 60㎡ or less, you will be eligible to subscribe to special supply for the first time in your life.
However, we decided not to include tax benefits that could stimulate speculative demand, such as excluding officetels from the number of houses owned.

We are also considering a plan to postpone fines for residential accommodation facilities that will have to pay enforcement fees if they do not change their use starting next month.
Experts point out that measures to increase the supply of private apartments are needed to fundamentally resolve the supply shortage.

There is interest in whether this government measure can be a savior to eliminate concerns about supply shortages, or whether it will be nothing more than an ineffective stopgap measure.
